Turkeys in the snow

Photographer Sparky Stensaas captures Minnesota turkeys up close.

This video by nature photographer Sparky Stensaas may be as close as many of us get to turkeys in the wild, doing what turkeys do: preening, feeding, strutting around. Stensaas’ shots are detailed enough to make out the grain of the birds’ feathers and the colorful blue and red mosaic on their heads. There are more amazing photos and a description of how the video was taken on Stensaas’ blog, ‘The Photonaturalist.’
