Wednesday night in St. Paul, Bob Dylan paid tribute to ailing rocker Bobby Vee by performing Vee’s hit “Suzie Baby.” (Vee was in the crowd that night.) Vee hired Dylan, then Bob Zimmerman, in the late 1950s to play piano in his band. After a few small gigs in North Dakota, the idea of lugging around a piano on tour didn’t appeal to Vee, so he gave Dylan $30 and sent him on his way.
