Celebrating Ramadan in the Twin Cities

During the month of Ramadan — July 8 through August 7 this year — many Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. After the sun goes down it’s time for Iftar, a meal breaking the day’s fast. Several Twin Cities restaurants offer elaborate Iftar buffets during Ramadan. In this video, Ahmed Tharwat visits Marina Grill and Deli and Marhaba Mediterranean Grill (both in Minneapolis) to talk to people taking part in the festivities.
