Road Rogue: Mark Mallman’s 8-day non-stop concert across the U.S.

The Minneapolis musician rode his 1992 van from New York to LA, performing the whole way.

From September 15 to 22, Minneapolis musician Mark Mallman embarked on a coast-to-coast musical tour. While that doesn’t sound notable in and of itself, Mallman introduced a twist: instead of stopping in various cities to play shows, he played continuously from the back of his 1992 van. For eight days. What about sleeping? “While he slept, a hacked EEG controller converted his dreaming brain waves into MIDI information.”

As to why Mallman did the tour, he has this to say: “That’s why you make art, because, you don’t really know why until it’s finished.” Learn more about the project in the video below.
