From September 15 to 22, Minneapolis musician Mark Mallman embarked on a coast-to-coast musical tour. While that doesn’t sound notable in and of itself, Mallman introduced a twist: instead of stopping in various cities to play shows, he played continuously from the back of his 1992 van. For eight days. What about sleeping? “While he slept, a hacked EEG controller converted his dreaming brain waves into MIDI information.”
As to why Mallman did the tour, he has this to say: “That’s why you make art, because, you don’t really know why until it’s finished.” Learn more about the project in the video below.
