REUTERS “America After Climate Change, Mapped,” CityLab This is the first visual representation I’ve seen of the predicted effects of climate change on U.S. mortality rates. Using data compiled by the University of Pennsylvania’s McHarg Center for Urbanism and Ecology, City Lab writes, “The broad takeaways are dire, as usual. Heat-related deaths in the southern U.S. could grow—but so could cold-related deaths in northern areas.” —Jessica Lee, local government reporter “Adam Sandler's Everlasting Shtick,” The New York Times I grew up with Adam Sandler. Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and the Waterboy, which feature Sandler playing variations on the same doofus, were fixtures in my early '90s childhood. As dumb as those movies were, they endure. So does the same old Sandler, though he's (maybe) grown up a little.
