Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is playing up her Iowa roots in the early (Iowa) phase of her presidential campaign, says Politico.
She was born in Iowa and lived there until she was 12, but, for the record, she does now represent the state of Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Politico noted her statement on Radio Iowa:
“This is an Iowan who wants to take an Iowa voice to the White House,” Bachmann said. “It’s historic and I would like Iowa to be a part of this and come along with me on this journey.”
