Mary Pawlenty and daughter Anna head home from Iowa

After a week on the campaign trail in Iowa with husband and dad Tim Pawlenty, Mary Pawlenty and 18-year-old daughter Anna headed home to Minnesota last night, reports the Des Moines Register.

In front of 35 people at a stop in Sioux City, Pawlenty said:

“I’m very, very grateful for Mary. I love her very much. She’s my best friend, and she brings a great joy to the campaign trail. But she can’t always be with us, because as she mentioned, we have two teenage daughters, one of whom is 18 and one of whom is 15. One of them drives, and they both like boys. And so they need parental supervision.”

That last remark was met with laughter. Anna, who was standing in the back of the room, smiled and gave her dad a teenage daughter eye roll.

Mary gathered up her purse and other belongings while Tim talked. And then as the audience looked on, he said his goodbyes to his wife from across the room. “I love you, honey,” he said.

“I love you, sweetie,” she said. Then mother and daughter left for home.

The candidate, though, continues his “Road to Results” RV tour in Iowa, which began on July 18. Today he’s scheduled for Dianne’s Main Street Cafe in Council Bluffs.

It is so revealing that the Left media will over report on any conservative candidate they feel is a threat, while ignoring any real concerns regarding their pet candidate on the Left.

While candidate Sarah Palin was running for vice-president, candidate Barack Obama was running for president. Who was examined more thoroughly by MinnPost and the other mainstream media types?
