After a swing through North Carolina this week, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann hits the campaign trail again in Iowa, where she has to do well in the caucuses to stay alive in the Republican presidential race.

On Monday, she’s in Sioux City and Council Bluffs, western cities where she has spent relatively little campaign time so far, reports the Des Moines Register.

On Tuesday, she’s back in the middle of the state: Des Moines, Newton and Grinnell.

The Hawkeye itinerary:

  • Monday, 3 p.m.: a town hall meeting at Stoney Creek Inn, Sioux City.
  • Monday, 6 p.m.: a town hall meeting at Bayless Park Hall, Council Bluffs.
  • Tuesday, 10:30 a.m.: Faith and Family Council Press Conference at Embassy Suites Hotel, Des Moines.
  • Tuesday, 4 p.m.: Meet and greet at Uncle Nancy’s Coffeehouse, Newton.
  • Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.: an Iowa Family Leader fundraiser at Carroll’s Pumpkin Farm, Grinnell.

  1. Wished I lived in Iowa! What an awesome candidate for America. A true conservative and strong candidate in every way… fiscal, limited gov’t, immigration but still has traditional American values – not for the cameras, but because she means it!

  2. While I expect that Michele Bachmann will do well in the IOwa caucuses, I do not agree that it is an absolute that she must do well. There is a lot of space between Iowa and the convention hall.

To paraphrase an acquaintance, Michele is confident, assertive, and friendly all at once. What a gal!

And I need to add, knowledgeable, correct on all issues including the economy and jobs, and not afraid to offend the establishmentarians of her party. That is why they are not currently attracted to her, and are presently opting for a candidate more to their liking. We have had enough of establishment Republicans, and the electorate is prime for moving beyond establishment choices.

If you watch videos of her being interviewed by the pundits, her unflappability is both heartening and charming.

Please take an honest look at her on the issues. Needed, not leftist and frivolous, hope and change.

    Go Michele, Liberty Belle 2012!
