Wiig portrays Bachmann in ‘SNL’ debate skit

If you missed “Saturday Night Live,” the opening skit lampooning a Republican Presidential Debate is worth taking a look at.

Kristen Wiig has Michele Bachmann down pat.

Keenan Thompson, as former pizza chain executive Herman Cain, had a great line:

“If you vote for me, America, I promise you, that I will deliver.”

Some of the questions from Bill Hader, as the moderator, were tougher than those from the journalists in the real debates. Getting the Ron Paul character to admit that his Libertarian principles would prevent him from saving whimpering, bow-wearing puppies in a burning building: very funny.

Like or Dislike the way the Political figures are characterized, SNL does a remarkable job on the way they mimic the real person’s speach and manorizims. Fred needs to do a better job on President Obama thought, he is a little boring. I miss the old GW days, those were some funny skits.
