After many missed roll calls, Bachmann returns to Washington for trade liberalization vote

Her presidential campaign has kept her from voting in the House of Representatives since Aug. 1, but Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she’ll be back in Washington to vote on bills liberalizing trade with Colombia, Panama and South Korea.

The Star Tribune notes that she’s missed 88 roll call votes since Aug. 1, although Congress was on recess much of that time.

Bachmann was campaigning in New Hampshire when she talked about making the votes.

“Today, I will return to Washington to vote for one of the components of that plan, finalizing free trade agreements that the president could have passed, but delayed far too long, costing our fellow citizens thousands of jobs,” Bachmann said.
