Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty said on the radio today that it’s highly unlikely he’ll run for president again and isn’t interested in a vice-president spot.
He said on the MPR broadcast that he won’t run against Sen. Amy Klobuchar in 2012. He said he won’t rule out anything else (he was asked about another run for governor), although he said it’s “highly unlikely” he’d run for president again. As for being a vice-presidential pick: “That’s not something I’m going to consider.”
He also said he thinks Michele Bachmann is qualified to be president and that her entry into the presidential race didn’t doom his bid. And he wishes he’d ignored advice from campaign handlers and tried to be more himself.
