Pawlenty picks up another board of directors position

Just days after accepting a position as a board member for Atlanta-based supply chain corporation RedPrairie, former Minnesota Gov.

Just days after accepting a position as a board member for Atlanta-based supply chain corporation RedPrairie, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty was named to the board of directors for Miromatrix Medical Inc.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Governor Pawlenty’s caliber join our Board of Directors,” Robert Cohen, Miromatrix President and CEO, said in a statement. “We look forward to his advice and counsel as we pursue commercial products and strategic relationships with our game-changing technology.”

Miromatrix Medical is a University of Minnesota spin-off created by Doris Taylor, a U professor who notably created a beating rat heart in her laboratory in 2007. The company made headlines when it later fired her from the company’s board.
