Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has his first post-office, post-presidential run job: he’ll be a member of RedPrairie Corp.’s board of directors.
RedPrairie, an Atlanta-based global supply chain and retail technology provider, announced the move today.
In a company news release, RedPrairie CEO Mike Mayoras praised Pawlenty’s time as Minnesota governor and said he’d fit in well at RedPrairie.
“Tim and RedPrairie share a track-record of strong financial performance, a passion for innovation, and commitment to advancing the interests of those we serve,” he said.
Pawlenty, for his part, said he is “impressed with RedPrairie’s visionary strategy.
“Their unique position in this market, at the intersection of supply chain and all-channel commerce, is compelling,” he said in the release. “RedPrairie is at the forefront of the movement to connect the supply chain and consumers in this rapidly evolving global economy. I’m looking forward to being part of a company with such significant financial momentum and that is a force in driving change in the software industry.”
Pawlenty said last week that he was looking for private sector jobs instead of immediately returning to politics. He has ruled out a Senate run against Amy Klobuchar, but left the door open to running for office again in the future.
