DES MOINES, Iowa — Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign is making one last appeal to Iowa voters today, releasing a television ad proclaiming her “America’s Iron Lady.”

The ad, which highlight’s Bachmann’s Iowa roots and her work in Congress, compares the candidate to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, a figure that has popped up in Bachmann’s stump speech of late.

Here’s the text of the ad:

“Born and raised in Iowa, only one candidate has been a consistent conservative fighter who fought Obamacare, who fought increasing our debt ceiling – even as other Republicans were cutting deals with Obama. An expert in tax law who will fight for deep cuts in spending to reduce America’s debt, restore our economy and create real jobs – and she’ll never back down. One of our own … Michele Bachmann for President.”
