The newly-repainted cherry will be transported from Hugo to Minneapolis on Friday, reuniting with its spoon at the Walker Art Center’s sculpture garden around noon. The 21-year-old “Spoonbridge and Cherry” sculpture was in desparate need of a spit and polish.
