The climactic chapter in the U.S. Senate race is about to be written. Spielberg might pass on the story, but surely this contest deserves its own Movie of the Week, doesn’t it? (Even Jesse Ventura got one.)

OK, maybe it doesn’t, but MinnPost followers on Twitter, your job is to cast the actors who would play Al Franken and Norm Coleman in the TV movie. Will you go for look-alikes? Or B- or C- list thespians hoping to reinvigorate their careers in a gritty political drama?

My choices? Funnyman Eugene Levy as Al Franken and “Twin Peaks” star Chris Mulkey as Norm Coleman…
