DFL superdelegate: wait ’til after Pennsylvania

When DFL superdelegate Nancy Larson will decide who she supports.

Nancy Larson, one of three remaining uncommitted Minnesota DFL superdelegates, said that she will not make a decision about who she will support until after the Pennsylvania primary. “I have promised the Clinton campaign and the Obama campaign that I will let them know who I’m supporting before I make my announcement.”

Larson, who previously had received phone calls from the three Clintons, recently received a call from Michelle Obama. “She was very charming,” Larson said. “She was totally understanding when I said I thought it was important that I stay neutral awhile longer.”

To date, Obama has the support of eight Minnesota superdelegates and Clinton three. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Collin Peterson, along with Larson, remain uncommitted. Two more superdelegates will be selected at the DFL state convention. Given Obama’s overwhelming victory in the Minnesota caucus, it’s likely those two will be Obama supporters.
