School districts pursue superintendent candidates

The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School Board members selected Randall Clegg Thursday night as their preferred superintendent.
That clears the way for the White Bear Lake Area School Board to negotiate with their preferred candidate, Michael Lovett, who’d been selected as the WBL preferred candidate earlier in the week. But Lovett was also a finalist in Burnsville, so no negotiating action was scheduled until after the Burnsville decision.
Clegg is currently the superintendent in the Clinton Community School District in Iowa.

Lovett is currently an assistant superintendent in Minnetonka.
Another finalist in both White Bear and Burnsville was Nancy Rajanen, assistant superintendent/executive director of Robbinsdale Area Schools. The way school districts seem to be pursuing the same candidates these days, she’ll likely have many future opportunities ahead.
