Superdelegate update

The trickle of new superdelegate commitments continues at a slightly increased rate and continues to work to the benefit of Barack Obama. Since my last update of April 24 (and, as usual, according to the tally maintained by DemConWatch), 11 more superdels have announced or been confirmed by DemCon. They have broken 7-4 in favor of Obama. For the first time, Clinton’s lead among superdelegates (260-241), which peaked in February at 97, has fallen below 20 (it’s 19).
I keep hearing that things have turned in Clinton’s favor over recent weeks, but the superdelegates aren’t showing it. And, as everyone knows, Clinton’s only chance is to win a large majority of the remaining superdelegates. The window is closing.
