Jesse’s latest book makes bestseller list, too

Jesse Ventura’s new book is doing better than many critics expected, much like Ventura’s unexpected gubernatorial victory in 1998. It was No. 21 on the New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction list on April 27 but fell out of the top 35 on the May 4 list.

“Don’t Start the Revolution Without Me!” was released April 1 and has been promoted with a flurry of high-level interviews, including “Larry King Live,” “Hannity and Colmes,” “The Colbert Report””and “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.”

He’ll be back in Minnesota May 15 to sign books at the Mall of America Rotunda at 6 p.m.

Critics shouldn’t have been surprised at this success: Ventura’s two previous books were national bestsellers, too.

And for Mall-o-phobes who’d like to ask questions of the former governor: The web site says it will interview Ventura on May 21 and is soliciting questions. I’d never heard of the site before, but this is their pitch:

“ is the Internet’s largest and most popular discussion board community dedicated to the intelligent exchange of ideas and debate on a wide range of “alternative topics” such as conspiracies, UFOs, paranormal, secret societies, political scandals, new world order, terrorism, and dozens of related topics with an impressive demographic mix of members.”
