Not all of us can stay at the Capitol all night (or qualify for overtime pay) so it’s a relief to have Rachel E. Stassen-Berger’s “The Political Animal” blog available at all hours of the day.
Her latest post — early Tuesday morning — came at 12:50 a.m. and reported that both bodies had finally adjourned after passing the health care reform bill, which is likely to be vetoed.
Even Rachel gets tired, though, at that late hour. Her lede — uncorrected as of 9:30 a.m. — reports that: “The House and Senate have adorned for the night.”
