The U.S. Army and Colorado National Guard plan to reserve more than 500 hotel rooms for the Democratic National Convention, “hinting at the number of military personnel that may be in Denver for the high-profile event,” the Colorado Independent reports.

Supporters of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul will announce today plans to move his one-day “shadow convention” to bigger quarters, ABC News’ Z. Byron Wolf reports. His new political action group — The Campaign for Liberty — reportedly will shift venues, moving from Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota to Target Center, which can seat about 18,000.
