Denver is wrapped up in a debate similar to the recent one in the Twin Cities over what to do with area homeless people during the two national political conventions. “Hundreds of Denver’s homeless could be cooling their heels in a movie theater or museum while the Democratic National Convention is in town next month,” the Rocky Mountain News reports. The plan to have many attend organized events is defended by some who work with the homeless, but other activists see the efforts as a way to hide the homeless from visitors’ sight.
