Franken airs new ad

The Al Franken for Senate campaign has begun airing a new ad that is a direct reply to the latest Coleman ad (with the bowlers who talk about Franken’s “tasteless, sexist jokes”).
Titled “No Joke,” the ad finds Franken wearing a dark suit, speaking grim-faced in a dark-paneled room, confessing that he’s “not proud of every joke I ever told,” but calling on Coleman to engage in a “real debate.”
So we have Coleman going humorous and Franken calling for serious, but the tug-o’-war between the campaigns about what they want the campaign to focus on is clear.
Here’s the ad:

And here’s the script:
FRANKEN: I’m Al Franken. Minnesotans expect a real debate. Instead, Norm Coleman and his allies are attacking me for things I said as a comedian. Look, I’m not proud of every joke I ever told, but I know there’s a difference between what you say as a comedian and what you do as a U.S. senator.
