WashPo: Pawlenty ‘bruised’ he was used as a decoy

The Washington Post’s Anne Kornblut reports that John McCain’s anointment of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate left Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty with “bruised feelings”

Writes Kornblut, “Two senior Republican officials close to Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty said they had both been rudely strung along and now ‘feel manipulated.’

“‘They now know that they were used as decoys, well after McCain had decided not to pick them,’ one Republican involved in the process said.”

Country first, TPaw.

But the Gov looks so ni-i-i-ce! Yup, and Bush looked like a great guy who’d be fun to have a beer with. But was he presidential? Ah, who cares? (Not enough folks, apparently). The American people should have learned their lesson! In that light, wouldn’t it be fun to have a beauty queen as our VP. We could have a glass of wine with her! God help us.

Gee, Guv, too bad. But now you know how the State of Minnesota feels being used to further your political ambitions.

For a man of honor, character and integrity wisely trumped friendship and experience.

As a politician who has always played rough, it seems odd that he should be characterized as having, “hurt feelings”. Look at his history: he has screwed people over through his whole career. Vindictiveness and pettiness are his guides in life.

    It all comes around.
