Community meeting to offer input on replacement for St. Paul’s Como Pool

St. Paul officials say the outdoor Como Pool won’t reopen next year because its condition is beyond repair and would cost millions of dollars to bring up to standards.

St. Paul officials say the outdoor Como Pool won’t reopen next year because its condition is beyond repair and would cost millions of dollars to bring up to standards.

But they are starting to think about a replacement for the 45-year-old landmark. That planning will start with a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Como Park Visitors’ Center Auditorium, St. Paul.

Parks Director Bob Bierscheid will talk about the process and listen to residents about their needs. Officials then will incorporate the community feedback with thoughts from consultants in their planning.
