“Doonesbury” cartoonist Garry Trudeau will bring some humor and satire — but not Duke or Rick Redfern — to the St. Paul home of David and Perrin Lilly tonight, for an Al Franken fundraiser.

 He’s touring the country on behalf of Democratic candidates, and will meet with — and help solicit donations from — local DFLers at the event on St. Paul’s Summit Hill area.

With the current story line about Redfern, a fictional Washington Post reporter who lost his job at the paper and is now writing a blog, I’m sure Trudeau will appreciate being mentioned in this medium. Or not.
