Fourth Senate debate between Coleman and challengers airs tonight

The last two debates in the tantalizingly competitive U.S. Senate race between Republican Sen. Norm Coleman and challengers Al Franken, a DFLer, and Independence Party candidate Dean Barkely will be aired on public broadcasting.

Tonight, the three face off in a televised event at 7 p.m. on TPT’s “Almanac,” the public television news show. It will be the trio’s fourth debate this campaign season.

The final debate will be broadcast live by Minnesota Public Radio on Nov. 2 — just two days before the election — from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. The one hour round-table debate starts at 7 p.m.

Local and national polls show the race to be very, very close.
