Want to check out candidates’ backgrounds to be ready for Election Day?
There are three metro-area voter’s guides online for you right now — and one already available in print.
The Pioneer Press, the Star Tribune and the League of Women Voters have all compiled comprehensive online voter’s guides for the many local races.
The League’s print version, available now at Target stores, covers candidates for president and Minnesota’s national races for U.S. Senate and eight House seats. There also is information on candidates for the Minnesota Supreme Court and Minnesota Court of Appeals, along with the proposed constitutional amendment. It also includes procedures for registering to vote on Election Day.
The Star Tribune’s print version, zoned for various metro areas, will be published as a stand-alone section in the Thursday editions.
The Pioneer Press has no plans to publish a print version, but it will run a list of candidates in the Nov. 2 newspaper.
