Hennepin County to auction 17 tax-forfeited Minneapolis properties

Hennepin County tax officials will hold a tax-forfeited property auction Friday to sell 17 Minneapolis properties, including 16 vacant residential lots and one commercial property with a structure.

The business, with a minimum bid of $150,000, is at 505 Lake St. E., a commercial property with a building currently leased to — and occupied by — a retail Western Wear Store.

For photos and information on the properties, contact Property Tax Services at 612-348-3734 to request an auction packet, or go to the Hennepin County website and click on Environment, property and transportation/Property/Sales and auctions/Tax-forfeited land.

Open houses for all the properties are scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday. The auction will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the A Level Auditorium of the Hennepin County Government Center.

Prior to bidding, bidders are urged to become familiar with the auction’s detailed terms of sale.
