Norm Coleman pulling an all-nighter on eve of election

For election eve, Sen. Norm Coleman is going to pull an all-nighter, just like in college, except now his hair is shorter and his politics have taken a hard right turn from those Hofstra days.

After a late-afternoon rally today with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani at O'Gara's Bar & Grill in St. Paul, he's off on a 'round-the-state 12-hour-plus tour before returning to the Twin Cities.

Here's his evening and overnight schedule: 6 p.m., Willmar; 9:30 p.m., Alexandria; 11:30 p.m., St. Cloud; 1:30 a.m., Brainerd; 4:15 a.m., North Branch; and 5:30 a.m., Forest Lake.

At 7 a.m., Coleman will hold an Election Day kickoff event at 680 Transfer Road, St. Paul.

He then plans to vote at 7:30 a.m. at Linwood Recreation Center, 860 St. Clair Ave., in St. Paul.

After a break, he'll make a 2 p.m. stop in Burnsville and a 3 p.m. stop in Eden Prairie.
