A pre-session calm is manifest at the Capitol this Thanksgiving-shortened week.
While the recount continues around the state, there are no scheduled meetings for the state Senate. And only one — a Commerce and Labor Committee hearing with a Wakota Bridge progress report Tuesday morning — in the state House.
The state budget forecast — not expected to be good news going into the session — comes next week, Dec. 4.
