Three free legal clinics for homeowners worried about foreclosure will be held in St. Paul.
Homeowners can have their mortgage documents and related foreclosure notices reviewed by an attorney for free and get connected to a housing counselor. Those attending should bring all of the mortgage documents they received when buying the house and any related foreclosure notices. Those documents will be reviewed by an attorney, and there will be help from housing counselors.
The clinics are sponsored by the city of St. Paul, Council Member Melvin Carter and several community groups: the Housing Preservation Project, the Volunteer Lawyers Network, the Greater Frogtown Community Development Corp. and the Summit-University Planning Council.
The clinics will be held:
• Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Summit-University Planning Council, 665 Selby Ave., St. Paul.
• Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m., and Jan. 29, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Greater Frogtown Community Development Corp., 533 Dale St., St. Paul.
