The Wall Street Journal had a strong editorial Monday about how the Minnesota Senate recount was, more or less, invalid.
One MinnPost reader sent me a passionate email urging me to fact-check the editorial.
But Nate Silver, the brilliant guru at fivethirtyeight.com did it for me and for her and for all of you.
You decide.
As I read Silver’s critique this morning I thought “Why is a baseball statistician doing this? Why isn’t some ambitious and well-known journalist doing this? Is there any doubt about why the main-stream media are losing audience?”
Now we have Nate Silver and Jon Stewart doing our best news analysis.
Maybe that’s all the WSJ’s analysis deserves.
