Today’s the end of a long weekend in Washington, D.C., for Gov. Tim Pawlenty and wife, Mary. He had a string of meetings and debates and lunches, along with a fair amount of media coverage of his plans for 2012.

Last night, the governor and daughter, Anna, were seen at the White House dinner hosted by the first couple. Mary Lahammer noted the photo in her TPT blog.

And this morning, the governor attended a meeting at the White House with the president and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Secretary of Housing  and Urban Development Shaun Donovan and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

At lunch today, Nancy Pelosi gives the governors a congressional update and there’s an afternoon session on “International Infrastructure Best Practices: Ideas for Governors.”

Finally, Pawlenty and Iowa Gov. Chet Culver will talk at 3 p.m. Eastern time with the media about wind energy. The two are co-chairs of the Governors’ Wind Energy Coalition.
