According to state law, Norm Coleman will have 10 days to appeal any final ruling by the three-judge panel in his election contest with Al Franken.

That final ruling is at least a week away; as many as 400 ballots could be opened April 7 after Tuesday’s interim ruling by Judges Elizabeth Hayden, Kurt Marben and Denise Reilly.

But today on a Fox News Radio show, “Brian and the Judge,” Coleman said he would appeal faster than the 10-day-window.

“You have to file in 10 days; we’re going to file quicker than 10 days, I can assure you,” Coleman said.  “The bottom line is I want to make sure the votes are counted fairly, uniformly, with a uniform standard and we’re going to push to the Minnesota Supreme Court to make that happen, if we have to.”
