Iron Range legislator suggests campaign slogan for Pawlenty in 2012

Republicans won’t be jumping at this one, but I suppose it could end up as a DFL bumper sticker.

Steve Perry of Politics in Minnesota says Rep. Tom Rukavina, DFL-Virginia, suggests this campaign slogan for Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s expected run for the White House in 2012:

“Let me screw up the country like I screwed up Minnesota.”

That’s better than the ones I was suggesting, which are:

If you thought government was the problem, we have news for you.

I may have lost the state, but I kept my promise.

There is no problem that can’t be made worse by someone with a selfish desire for higher office.
