Worthington Municipal Airport will get $2.8 million in grant money from the federal Department of Transportation to fix runways.

“Regional airports in southern Minnesota are a critical economic development tool and these projects will expand jobs and future economic opportunity in the area,” said Congressman Tim Walz, who represents the area.

Officials plan to rehabilitate Runway-11/29 and Runway-17/35 but won’t have to change any highway signs.
