Public input sought on St. Paul superintendent search

To aid in the search for a new superintendent, St. Paul schools officials are inviting residents to a public feedback session.

Former Superintendent Meria Carstarphen left the district last spring for a job in Austin, Texas. Interim Superintendent Suzanne Kelly, who doesn’t have the required superintendent’s license,  is running the district until a new leader is selected. That’s expected to be done by the end of the year.

The feedback session — designed to let the school board know what qualities residents wish to see in a new superintendent — will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rondo Education Center, 560 Concordia Ave., St. Paul.
