Gov. Tim Pawlenty is in Washington, D.C., today for the first big fundraisers for his Political Action Committee, Freedom First.
He says he plans to use the money raised by the PAC to strengthen the national Republcan Party.
MPR says there are two events:
Pawlenty has scheduled a low-dollar event with Capitol Hill staffers and others at a bar. A fundraiser for larger donors will be held at the home of a Republican activist.
The governor’s official state schedule for today reads: “No Public Events Scheduled.”
