Dan Hoxworth, former head of the Neighborhood House nonprofit social agency on St. Paul’s West Side, has been named executive director of Transit for Livable Communities, a nonprofit that promotes “transit, walking, bicycling, and smart development.”

He replaces former TLC head Lea Schuster, who now works for the Transportation for America campaign in Washington, D.C.

“[TLC’s] excellent policy work and strong advocacy is essential to creating a transportation system that serves all Minnesotans and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle,” Hoxworth said of the St. Paul-based group.
