Gov. Pawlenty to speak at Big Buck luncheon Friday

It’s a Big Buck event, but it’s not a high-powered Republican fundraiser. This time.

It’ll be all about hunting when Gov. Pawlenty speaks at noon Friday at the annual Big Bucks luncheon to help launch the deer hunting season. The firearms deer season opens Saturday.

Also at the luncheon, at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls, will be Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Mark Holsten and Explore Minnesota Director John Edman.

Another good use of money in short supply, Mr. Governor.

Focusing on “Big Bucks” is what Governor Pawlenty has always been about. He favors everything that enables “Big Oil” and “Wall Street” to get as much of our money…any way they can! Those that have, fear that those that don’t, will aquire what they have…leaving them with less. Pawlenty has always represented the $1000 to $5000 a plate Republicans and has never even spoke in favor of ma and pa grass root members of the GOP. He needs to be blugeoned out of our country’s political system. Inkpahduhtah

Pawlenty has promoted deer hunting each fall. I know some people consider deer hunting barbaric, but I applaud him for it. Deer hunting is a tradition that kept our ancestors alive through brutal Minnesota winters and deer populations in this state are higher than at any time in the past.

However, this year he “ass-shoots” a deer in the afternoon and doesn’t have time to chase this wounded animal because he has to go to a political event in Iowa. My understanding is this deer has not yet been found, even though lots of other people went looking for it, saying that they know that he hit it because it was bleeding profusely.

Great example to send, Governor. Make a half-hearted attempt to go deer hunting, make a lousy shot, letting the animal suffer, let other people chase your wounded prey while you go off to suck up to a bunch people who think that’s all OK.
