A hearing on possible fixes for the General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC) program in Minnesota is ongoing this afternoon. The hearing is a joint meeting of the House Health Care and Human Services Finance Division and the House Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee.
GAMC provides health care for impoverished adults without children; funding will run out March 1. A new DFL proposal and other alternatives are being discussed at the hearing, which can be viewed live on the Internet. To watch, go here.
