Kelliher gets a jolt with electricians’ union endorsement

The 15,000-member state council of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has endorsed House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher in her bid for the DFL nomination to run for governor in 2010.

The union said it believes Kelliher will put electricians back to work in construction, manufacturing and the energy industry jobs, reports the Star Tribune.

It’s the fourth union endorsement for Kelliher, but the various organized labor groups have come out in favor of several candidates and haven’t yet coalesced around one candidate.
