The St. Paul School Board reached a contract deal with new Superintendent Valeria Silva last night, and right away this morning she’s on the job.
The three-year deal calls for a starting salary of $180,000 a year, with lots of perks like deferred comp and a $1,000 per month car allowance.
Previous superintendent Meria Carstarphen was getting $194,000 when she bolted last year for Texas. But, hey, times are tough.
