St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman will head the National League of Cities Council on Youth, Education, and Families.
The word came from NLC President Ronald O. Loveridge, who is also mayor of Riverside, Calif.
Loveridge must not know Mayor Coleman all that well, because he keeps referring to Chris as Christopher in the announcement.
The NLC’s Council on Youth, Education, and Families helps city leaders identify and develop effective programs for strengthening families and improving the lives of children in their communities.
Also on the council as vice-chairs are Spartanburg, S.C., Council Member Renee Cariveau and Caldwell, Idaho, Mayor Garret L. Nancolas.
