Tickets for the April 7 Republican Party campaign rally featuring Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are now available.

Tickets are free and available online or by calling 651-222-0022. There’s a limited number available.

The rally is at 2 p.m. in the Minneapolis Convention Center, Hall D. Doors open at noon.

Although the tickets are free, the website sign-up sheet asks those requesting the tickets to pledge time for volunteer work on behalf of Republican candidates.

  1. Well, this will give MinnPost something different to write about. You won’t have to choose ‘Bachmann today? or Palin?’ You can do both!

  2. Free eh?

So, how much are those caring populists of the Democrat party charging the little people to hear words of wisdom from Barney Frank?

  3. Tickets may be obtained for an event on April 7 at 2 pm, in the Minneapolis Convention Center, Hall N. Hammers will be available; attendees will have the opportunity to strike themselves repeatedly in the head. And it’s free!

  4. How can you call it free when you’re required to commit to at least two volunteer shifts working for GOP candidates in order to get tickets? Either that, or lie.

As for Swiftee’s concern about the “little people,” I’m sure we’ll see plenty of them at the Palin-Bachmann event shelling out $500 per table and $10,000 per photograph with the Dimmer Twins. Caring populists, indeed.

  5. One of the lesser know facts is that the Republicans have to hire a great many of their feildworkers and if it wasn’t for the anti abortion crowd they would have very few volunteers.
