Legislators will discuss distracted driving Wednesday during a joint House and Senate transportation hearing at the Capitol.

They’ve invited national experts to testify, including U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, via video message, along with representatives from Best Buy, Verizon Wireless and AT&T who’ll talk about technological advancements that may reduce distracted driving and improve traffic safety.

The Wednesday meeting is at 1 p.m. in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
