Many candidates for governor have agreed to participate in a Governors’ Candidate Forum on Clean Energy, Clean Water and Minnesota’s Future Sunday at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

The two likely Republican candidates — Marty Seifert and Tom Emmer — haven’t responded to the invitation, yet. They may be awaiting the outcome of today’s GOP party convention, where one will be selected as the party’s nominee.

Confirmed for the 1 p.m. event are: Mark Dayton (DFL), Matt Entenza (DFL),  Rob Hahn (I), Tom Horner (I) and Margaret Anderson Kelliher (DFL).

Sponsored by the Minnesota Environmental Partnership and Supervalu, the two-hour forum will allow the candidates to  answer questions posed by Minnesotans who work in the clean energy economy, who farm or who are concerned with protecting our lakes, rivers, and streams, as well as videotaped questions from visitors to the Living Green Expo.

The forum is part of a Living Green Expo at the fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday.
