Entenza to take his education plan on the road

DFL gubernatorial candidate Matt Entenza — who is working hard to gain some traction before the Aug. 10 primary —- will release what he calls “a bold education plan” on Thursday, with stops around the state.

He’ll be in Duluth at 11 a.m., St. Paul at 2 p.m. and Rochester at 4 p.m.

His premise: “To make Minnesota great again, we need to make our schools great again.”

Entenza — who is well-funded with his own money — faces the tough task of generating name recognition and convincing voters that he has a better chance of winning in November than his DFL opponents, the party-endorsed candidate Margaret Anderson Kelliher and former U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton.
